At first glance I even look at this picture and think this is so wrong, I don’t need the clothes, makeup, substances, or unhealthy tendencies to make myself relevant. I do not need to feel worthy of male attention or female attention and any and all human beings. I don’t want to cover myself, but carry an energy of confidence. When I see someone love their bodies it never seems to be okay. I am showing skin and only skin, but feel beautiful in a world that wants me to be everything but self fulfilled, looking in the mirror and seeing images of yourself through the eyes of everyone else. I feel all these things and I want to look at myself and love every inch and mark of myself. Today I feel beautiful at such a vulnerable time, this picture is me being free of my own insecurities.

I’ve been self conscious of my body since I was 7. Since I used to go shopping in the store and spend hours looking for shorts, and each time mum would tell the lady that „her bum is just so round, nothing fits over is and if it does then it doesn’t fit her waist“. I would get so embarrassed that I would just leave with out buying anything. I’ve learnt that there are people out there who will love your body, and there are people who won’t. The people who don’t aren’t the ones your should surround yourself with. This page has taught me that the girls who’s body types I envy have their own vision of their ideal shape, which gives me hope that there’s someone out there who could like mine. I’m still not fully confident with my body, but the beautiful and strong women on here are encouraging me to be.
