Respekt!

One day you’ll see. The moments of your life that you’ve missed. The memories that were made to light up your mind with smiles in vivid colour. But instead, they are dull. They were dulled. By a mind that could never truly live in that moment, too consumed by the ever present mirror forcing your reflection to the forefront of your thoughts. You cannot truly live with that mirror, looming over all that you do, and all that you are. One day you’ll see, that it was inside you all along – the power to smash the mirror into pieces too small to ever pierce through your self esteem again. One day you’ll see, that you could have lived unburdened by lies about your worth residing in your reflection. That you could have laughed with your whole body shaking. That you could have devoured every bite without shame. That you could have lived every moment, for yourself. One day, you will see. And I can’t think of a better day than the one you’re living right now. 💜💙💚🌈🌞

To those of you who think you can’t, you can. To those who think they’re not worth it, you are. To those who think its impossible, it’s not. It’s here. It’s within your grasp. It’s standing outside your door, just waiting for you to let it in. 🙌🏻 Recovery is possible. It’s hard, yes. And it’s not immediate. But it will be by far the greatest thing you’ll ever do. ❤️ This is MY recovery journey. I suffered from anorexia nervosa and orthoexia for years. This photo shows my physical transformation, but there was so much more. 🙌🏻 It’s #NEDAWareness week this week — what better time to take that first step? I am here for you. This entire recovery community is here for you. 💕 YOU CAN DO THIS. #NEDAweek #NEDA #NEDAawareness #monday #aeriereal #WhatMakesMeBeautiful

In honor of National Eating Disorder Awareness Week #eatingdisorderawareness I want to tell all the girls, women, guys and men out there that real recovery is possible. It doesn’t happen overnight but step by step you can get back a healthy life. Today „healthy“ has a different definition to me than a few years ago. For me healthy does not only means doing sports every day and eating only low carb or clean, for me it means to be able to eat everything in a balanced way ( including sweets, fast food etc.). It also means to listen to my body and love each piece of it the way it is! The decision to get back my life was the best but also the hardest thing I’ve ever done, it is not enough to only gain weight, it’s not enough to just change old habits you also have to start thinking in a healthy way again and that takes time( just because someone looks healthy doesn’t mean he/her is) eating disorders comes in every size and so many different ways. I also think to blame the society for the unhealthy beauty ideal is not the right way, remember we are the society! In the end I want to tell you to never give up, just because of a few bad days, recovery is so worth it 🌸If I made it YOU can do it also. Beauty comes in every size and every color🌱🌸 keep your head up and your heart strong. Thank you also to some beautiful movements and people who fight for eating disorder awareness and a healthy beauty ideal @healthyisthenewskinny @amalielee @katiehwillcox @nourishandeat i think the work you’ve done and you do everyday is amazing 💪🏻💪🏻 we need more of these kind of people! Thank you so much❤️!!!#beautycomesfromwithin #healthylifestyle #healthyisthenewskinny #edrecovery #bopowarrior #bodypositive #healthmeanshappinesss #girlswholift #muscles #fitfam #beyourself #recovery #striveforprogressnotperfection #bopo #instalike #awareness #tranformation #healthy #realrecovery
